The perfect finishing touch to your cast iron radiator, the Whitworth Retaining Stays are designed to be seen. All are made from solid brass and come in a range of finishes to complement the valve set.

Retaining stays are required to secure heavy, cast iron radiators to the wall, preventing them from rocking forward or backward if knocked. Under normal circumstances, the weight of the cast iron radiator will rest on the ground, meaning some lower and deeper radiators with a low centre of gravity may not require wall stays.

The Radiator Centre recommends one wall stay for every ten sections of the radiator, i.e., a 10-section cast iron radiator would require one wall stay, but we would recommend two wall stays for an 11-section radiator or above.
