Are horizontal radiators the most efficient?
A radiator’s performance is based on its wattage or output, rather than orientation, so horizontal radiators aren’t necessarily any more efficient than vertical radiators or other layouts.

Are horizontal radiators most suitable for larger rooms?
Our designer horizontal radiators come in a huge range of widths and sizes, making them a good option when it comes to heating large rooms. Always do a heat calculation to determine how much heat the room requires, then match this to the stated output from one or more horizontal radiators. This will ensure you have sufficient heat in the space.
Larger rooms may also have more free wall space to accommodate horizontal radiators, leaving space above for other things, such as art, shelves or a television.
Where in the room should I install a horizontal radiator ?
The best place to install a horizontal radiator will often be under a window. This is usually a low wall that can’t be used for other furniture, making a horizontal radiator ideal. Windows are also
usually the cold spot in a room, so positioning a radiator here creates a barrier of warm air between you and the cold outside.
Some horizontal radiators come with additional feet to make them free standing, meaning they can even be an excellent solution where there is floor-to-ceiling glass.
