Hot bathroom trends for 2025

The Bathroom has always been about functionality, but in 2025 it’s making a confident move into design-led territory. Think spa-like calm, statement-making style, and a strong focus on sustainability. Here, we explore this year’s biggest bathroom trends and the radiators that will complete the look.

Nature inspired calm

Bringing the outdoors in continues to resonate, especially in a space that’s often used for relaxation and quiet moments. Biophilic design, where nature meets interiors, is growing in popularity and bathrooms are the perfect canvas. You might choose to introduce a few leafy green plants, woven textures and wood finishes, or go bolder with earthy tiles and natural palettes.

“For radiators, consider finishes like brushed brass, matte black or brushed nickel,” says Nick Duggan, MD of The Radiator Centre. “They offer a softer, more grounded alternative to high-shine chrome and pair beautifully with natural textures like stone or wood. Vertical panel radiators in shades such as clay, sage green or off white can also echo the organic feel of the room while providing a clean, calming aesthetic.”

Japandi serenity

The hybrid of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian warmth, known as Japandi, shows no sign of slowing. With its emphasis on tranquillity and function, this look is ideal for bathrooms. Streamlined furniture, concealed storage, soft wood tones and tactile stone all help create a peaceful retreat.

“Some of the latest designer radiators offer textures that mimic stone, slate or even concrete.” says Nick. “They’re a natural fit for this pared back style, blending seamlessly into the aesthetic while offering reliable warmth.”

Sustainable style that performs

One bathroom trend that’s here to stay is sustainability, now a central focus in bathroom design as more homeowners look to make stylish choices that are also kinder to the planet. From water saving taps to recycled materials and low energy lighting, eco-conscious choices are increasingly becoming the norm. And heating is no exception.

“Today’s energy-efficient radiators and towel rails are designed to use less water, up to 80 percent less in some cases,” explains Nick. “Less water means less energy needed to heat it, which helps to cut down on emissions and running costs. We also offer radiators optimised for low temperature systems like heat pumps, helping homeowners get the most out of their renewable energy investment.”

Bold and beautiful

After years of pared-back interiors, 2025 is embracing colour, pattern, and personality. In the bathroom, that means everything from checkerboard floors to deep jewel tones, tactile textures and expressive tiles. It’s about making a statement and enjoying the creativity of it all.

“Radiators don’t have to fade into the background,” says Nick. “Many are now available in a wide range of colours, so you can match or contrast your chosen scheme. And for something truly eye-catching, an art radiator can become a talking point in its own right.”

Double the luxury

Double vanity units are increasingly popular, especially in shared bathrooms, offering style and convenience in equal measure. Whether you’re rushing through the morning routine or winding down with a nighttime skincare ritual, they offer space, storage and a sense of calm order.

“Larger towel rails are ideal for these setups,” suggests Nick. “They provide space for two sets of towels while contributing to the feeling of luxury. For a cohesive finish, look for a radiator that reflects the colour or material of your vanity unit or bathroom hardware.”

Harmonise mixed metals

No longer a design faux pas, mixed metal finishes are now a confident style statement. Combining brass with black, chrome with copper, it’s all about creating contrast with intention. The result is a layered, curated look that feels both timeless and modern.

“A towel rail in a complementary metallic finish can really pull the look together,” says Nick. “The key is balance, make sure each metal appears more than once throughout the space, so everything feels considered and cohesive.”

Big style in small spaces

Don’t think you need a huge bathroom to make the most of these trends. Cloakrooms and smaller bathrooms are just as suited to high design and arguably even more fun to experiment with.

“Small bathrooms and even a cloakroom can maximise these trends,” says Nick. “And when it comes to radiators, whether it’s a compact space or a master ensuite, the same style can be made to fit. Cloakrooms in particular are a great place to introduce a quirky radiator, something unexpected that adds a pop of personality .”

Beyond the ladder

When it comes to heating, don’t feel restricted to the classic ladder-style towel rail. There’s a whole world of options out there, each one offering its own design flair without compromising on performance.

“Don’t be limited to thinking you can only have a ladder radiator in your bathroom,” advises Nick. “There are so many options that work brilliantly in these spaces because of the materials they’re made from. High heat output and rust resistance are standard, so you can be creative with style, shape and colour, and still enjoy a warm, dry bathroom.”
