Designer radiators for kitchens: our top picks

Always associated with warmth, delicious aromas and friendships, kitchens are the heart of your home. It’s therefore unsurprising that the kitchen is the room that people naturally gravitate towards (especially at parties).

A radiator isn’t an afterthought

A replacement kitchen will cost thousands of pounds, sometimes tens of thousands. And the aesthetic of the kitchen is as important as its practicality, so it makes sense to have a kitchen radiator that looks as good as the rest of the room and works just as hard. There’s little point in spending huge amounts of money to create an amazing space, and then installing a boring, bog-standard radiator!

All our designer radiators are suitable for use in the UK, and will help keep your kitchen warm and cosy even in the coldest of British winters.

But remember that as your kitchen activities will create their own heat, you may not need as large a radiator as in another room of a similar size. It’s therefore important to check the heat output needed by using our handy online heat calculator that will tell you the best size of radiator for your room, but rest assured our staff are always on hand to offer expert advice, and will always check you’re ordering the correct sized radiator for the room.

Designer kitchen radiators

We have a wide range of designer radiators that will make your kitchen warmer in both senses of the word. And you don’t necessarily have to have a lot of wall space to take advantage of them.

Vertical radiators

With so many cupboards and units, kitchens pose a unique challenge when it comes to finding the perfect radiator. Vertical radiators are therefore a great choice as they don’t take up the width needed with horizontal radiators. And with many, like the Horseshoe Vertical coming in many different widths, you can get great heat output in even the narrowest of spaces.

Horizontal radiators

Of course if you do have a bit more space to play with, horizontal radiators will look great too! Horizontal radiators can also fit into smaller spaces, with models such as the Agora available as small as 417mm long, or the Zana, an even smaller 384mm.

If you have a period property, it’s also worth considering traditional cast iron radiators which come in a wide range of colour options that can turn a classic look into a contemporary one. Column radiators can also fit into smaller kitchens, with 4 sections of the Emmeline I coming in at just 296mm long.

Electric radiators

An electric radiator could be a useful kitchen radiator, especially if the placement needs to be in an awkward position that would involve disruption and expense to connect a new radiator to your central heating system. The majority of modern electric radiators are smart ones, so you don’t have to have it in the kitchen every time you need to heat the rest of the house, and can even control them remotely.

Electric designer radiators can be a focal point of your kitchen. For example, the Surf is a stunning, futuristic radiator that will give your kitchen the wow factor.

Heated towel rail

Towel rails aren’t just practical for the bathroom, they can also be extremely useful in the kitchen. They’re perfect for drying tea towels, hand towels and provide somewhere to hang wet outdoor clothing. They can also fit into smaller spaces. The minimalist I-Ching, for example, can be as narrow as just 40mm.

Many towel rails give you the option of being connected to your central heating system, fully electric, or dual fuel so you make the most of them without wasting energy.
