Hybrid Trench Heating is primarily aimed at customers using air-source and ground-source heat pumps, but conventional heating systems can also benefit from its impressive heat outputs. As with all trench heating systems, it is a discreet means for introducing heat into a room and to be seamless incorporated within the surrounding floor. It often proves an ideal solution for spaces with large windows, conservatories, and rooms with limited wall space.
The Hybrid Trench Heating system is a fan-assisted model that can produce higher heat outputs compared to standard trench heating. The ‘hybrid functionality’ also means it is suitable for situations which would benefit from non-condensing, light cooling when used in conjunction with any heat pump. This mild form of cooling is highly energy-efficient and helps provide thermal comfort throughout the year.
Underneath the grille is a rapidly heating low-H2O heating element, to either be independently controlled on its own thermostat, a room thermostat and zonal valve setup or as an integral part of a building management system (BMS). The choice of grilles available is designed to be worked in with a wide range of floor finishes, which increases the ‘invisibility’ of this efficient source of heat.
