1 Special / Bespoke Orders

If bespoke models including colours are ordered:
Please check all sizes and colours and make sure all measurements are correct and are suitable for your requirements.
THESE RADIATORS ARE SPECIAL ORDERS AND CANNOT BE CANCELLED OR AMENDED AND ARE NON-RETURNABLE.

2 Standard Orders

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you have the right to return goods to us (except for Special / bespoke orders set out in clause 1) by giving notice to us (by email, facsimile or in writing) that you wish to do so, within 7 working days after the receipt of the goods (the 'cooling off period'). If you choose to return any goods, you accept that you are responsible for their safekeeping and return, and you accept that you are liable for all costs of delivering them to us or paying us our costs of collecting them from you. We will refund the full value of the goods within 30 days of receiving the notice from you, provided we have received the goods in that time.

Any returns accepted outside of these guidelines is done so at the sole discretion of the seller, and a restocking fee will be applicable dependant on product (Typically 25-33%)

3 Returns Policy

It is the full responsibility of the customer to return the unit(s) to the designated location. ALL RETURNS MUST BE UNUSED AND IN THEIR ORIGINAL PACKAGING. Where this is not possible, goods must be securely packaged in a way that protects them from damage in transit. We reserve the right to withhold any payment until the returned product(s) have been fully inspected. If the product(s) is found to have ANY damage then NO REFUNDS will be made. On the event that the item is found to be acceptable then a refund will be made minus the administration and handling charges mentioned in point 2. Radiator Centre Ltd cannot accept any goods for return if they have been previously installed.

4 Delivery Information & Heavy Goods Warning

Radiators can weigh up to 150kgs in some cases, and be up to 1.5m in height and 3m in length. Those made from cast iron are particularly heavy. Please bear this in mind when placing your order and take into account how far you will need to lift and carry your radiator(s) and whether or not this includes stairs. Larger radiators can be semi-assembled and supplied in parts, if necessary, for joining on-site. Should this be the case, full instructions will be provided and a joining tool may need to be purchased, on a sale or return basis. Due to the weight of some of the heavier models and the difficulties this can cause with transportation, the surface of the paintwork can be, occasionally, susceptible to very minor abrasions and a small pot of touch up paint may be supplied to rectify this.

Delivery times do vary on different styles of radiators, unless you have been advised on an estimated delivery time when the product was ordered, some radiators can take up to 8-10 weeks. Occasionally some products can take up to 14 weeks. The radiator Centre cannot be held responsible for delays in deliveries and will not be held liable for any consequential charges.

Radiators are suitably wrapped and packaged and some of the heavier models are also supplied on pallets. To keep the cost of delivery to a minimum, radiators are transported via reputable commercial goods carriers. It may be necessary to deliver your radiator(s) using an HGV vehicle and if access could prove difficult this needs to be discussed and resolved beforehand. Delivery will usually be made during office hours (8am-6pm), Monday-Friday, and you will be given at least 24 hours’ notice of your intended delivery date. You must advise immediately if the date is unsuitable to enable us to rearrange. 24 hours’ notice is required for the cancellation or alteration of an arranged delivery. Someone must be present to accept the delivery or the goods will not be unloaded and left – an additional charge will be made for re-delivery. Specific delivery slots can be catered for in some circumstances, e.g. before 12 or Saturday, but these may incur an additional charge.

Due to Health & Safety legislation, the driver of the delivery vehicle is only able to stop at the closest point to the road, adjacent to your delivery address, preferably - on a hard standing. The driver is prohibited from lifting any heavy goods and is not insured to enter your house. It will be necessary for you to arrange suitable manpower to unload and move your radiator(s) inside. It is imperative that someone is present to sign for the delivery, stating whether or not it has been inspected. If any radiators are not inspected when delivered they must be signed for as unchecked.

Whilst the driver is still with you, we advise that you unwrap and inspect your radiator(s) to ensure you are in receipt of the correct items and appropriate number of fixtures and fittings. In the unlikely event of there being a problem or if any visible damage or faults are noticed, other than that mentioned previously, you must contact the Radiator Centre on 01323 486848 immediately. In respect of signed for, but unchecked deliveries, any queries and visible damage or faults must be reported to us within 24 hours of receipt to enable us to claim a replacement from our suppliers. All original packaging must be retained. Should this procedure not be followed, the goods will be deemed unacceptable.

It is not advisable for you to book your plumber until all your goods have been delivered and checked thoroughly. We cannot accept back any radiator, on the grounds of visible damage or visible faults, if it has been plumbed in.

5Water Treatment

These products are for use on closed heating systems only; they are not suitable for installation on secondary HWS circuits.
On completion of the installation the entire system MUST be thoroughly cleaned and flushed to remove debris/flux residues etc. If a chemical cleanser is used, it must be thoroughly flushed from the system. Following this, the system MUST be dosed with a good quality water treatment to prevent corrosion. System design, flushing and dosing must be in accordance with

BS 5449: 1990, BS EN 12828: 2003 and BS 7593: 1992
IMPORTANT: Failure to observe these requirements will render the guarantee on the product void.
Corrosion inhibitor must be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and recommendations and should take into account the particular metals within the system.

6 Warranty

Products purchased from the Radiator Centre Ltd are covered by the manufacturers guarantee. The period of warranty offered by us varies by product and/or related integrated components, the buyer shall be entitled to the same guarantee that we have received and are able to enforce. Radiator centre ltd holds the guarantee on behalf of the purchaser, and proof of purchase (ie radiator centre vat invoice) is required to instigate and warranty claim. Warranty is held on behalf of the first purchaser and is not transferable. Faulty goods shall not form the subject of any claim for labour costs or other expenditure incurred by the buyer and we shall not be responsible for any loss or damage arising out of any such fault. These terms are in addition to you statutory rights.
